This free tool is designed to help you to decide whether you have the right ‘mix’ of entrepreneurial qualities, personal characteristics, skills, personal circumstances and financial circumstances needed to successfully start your own tourism business. You should complete this with someone who knows you well.

How to use this tool

  • Read the 20 statements. If a statement applies to you, choose 'Yes'. If a statement doesn't apply to you, choose 'No'.
  • When you have answered 'Yes' or 'No' for all 20 statements, click the Get Results button.
  • A Word document will be automatically generated which will show your score and some brief feedback.

  • Each 'Yes' answer scores 5 points.
  • Each 'No' answer scores 0 points.
  • Each unanswered question scores 0 points.
  • The maximum score available is 100 points.
